Among many cancers that we often hear, there are a few rare cancers that appear in unusual places. One of them is mesothelioma. These cancers occur in the lining that covers our vital organs like heart, lungs or abdominal cavity.

Exposure to asbestos particles or glass fiber is the suspected cause of mesothelioma. People who have this cancer has a history of exposure to these particles, either directly or from depositing particles found on clothing, equipment, or plant waste. This cancer can stay hidden very long inside the body before showing symptoms of its presence.

Mesothelioma prognosis usually mistaken because this cancer has similar symptoms to other conditions such as anemia, short breath, chest pain when infecting the lungs sack, weight loss, intestinal problems when infecting the stomach and the formation of fluid in the plagued area. To ensure the existence of this cancer in the patient’s body biopsy is usually performed in various ways and adjusted to patient complaints. Misdiagnosis caused by wrong response to patient complaints, has caused many death in this cancer treatment.

Because asbestos is typically used as one of building materials makes cancer occurrence and its causes are not recognized until the disease show its symptom after many years.
